COLORADO SPRINGS – The Roadrunners had eight athletes earn All-RMAC honors by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Tuesday.
The RMAC awards are selected and voted on by the league's 13 men's indoor track and field head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players.
The All-RMAC Teams are based on results at the RMAC Championships, with first-, second-, and third-place finishers named First Team All-RMAC and fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-place finishers earning Second Team All-RMAC recognition.
On the women's side,
Maya Ries, Nalaei Sowell and
Taylor Weber all earned all-conference honors for their performances at the conference championships in Colorado Springs on March 2.
Ries earned First Team All-RMAC after winning the bronze medal finishing third in the women's 60 meter hurdles. She crossed the line in a time of 8.62, which broke her own school record of 8.71.
Sowell also earned first team honors after she brought home the silver in the women's 200 meter dash. She finished in a time of 56.65.
Weber finished fourth at the championships in the triple jump finishing fifth overall and earning Second Team All-RMAC.
On the men's side,
Josiah Billington, Kenny Greene, Perry Guidry, Sean Pacenka and
Isaiah Williams earned All-RMAC honors after great performances at the RMAC Championships.
Greene led the way and earned two all-conference honors. He broke the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse record, breaking the tape in the 200 meter dash and nabbing First Team All-RMAC. Greene also earned second team honors after finishing fourth in 400 meters.
Williams won silver in the high jump event, also grabbing First Team All-RMAC honors.
Earning second team honors was Billington in the long jump competition, Guidry in the triple jump and Pacenka in the 60 meter hurdles.
