DENVER — The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their NCAA Division II All-Region athletes on Wednesday afternoon. MSU Denver Roadrunners Kenny Greene and Isaiah Williams were honored in that release.
Greene recently clinched the only spot in the NCAA Championships for MSU Denver, and now earns a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Region team for his performance in the men's 200-meter event. He will compete in Pueblo, Colorado, next week for the NCAA Championships.
He ran a time of 20.68 at the RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, placing second overall in the event. It marked a personal best for the sophomore and broke the Roadrunners program record. Greene broke the previous record of 20.85 set by Blaize Holland during the 2021 season.
Williams earned a spot on the All-Region team for his performance in the men's high jump. He broke the program record with a 2.06-meter jump during the Mines Midweek meet in the middle of April. He smashed the previous record set by himself last season, which was 1.98 meters.
