DENVER – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Thursday afternoon that Izabella Pesicka of the MSU Denver Roadrunners women's golf team has been named RMAC Women's Golfer of the Week following her performance at the SMSU Spring Classic in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
The honor marks the second RMAC Golfer of the Week award of the season for MSU Denver since Neige Dunn earned the recognition during the fall schedule in October.
Pesicka delivered a breakthrough performance at the SMSU Spring Classic, capturing the first individual win by a Roadrunner this season while helping lead MSU Denver to a fifth-place team finish.
The junior posted a two-round total of 148 (+4), opening the tournament with a 73 (+1) before carding a 75 (+3) in the final round to secure a share of medalist honors.
The result also marked Pesicka's first top-10 finish of the 2025–26 season and tied Dunn for the lowest 36-hole score by a Roadrunner this year.
Pesicka's strong play helped anchor the Roadrunners throughout the event as MSU Denver competed against a competitive field in its first tournaments of the spring portion of the schedule.
MSU Denver will continue its spring campaign this week as the Roadrunners remain in Arizona to compete again at the SMSU Classic, beginning Thursday.
