Men's Basketball Head Coach 1985-93
Bob Hull quickly took a second-year basketball program to a

national power, taking over in 1985-86 and coaching for eight years. Hull is second all-time at Metro State with a 149-78 record and led the Roadrunners to three conference championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
Hull was named Basketball Times National Coach of the Year and Great Northwest Conference Coach of the Year in 1989-90 and earned the same conference award in the Colorado Athletic Conference in 1990-91 and 1991-92.
In the men's basketball program's fifth year of existence in 1988-89, he led the team to its first 20-win season, going 20-8. The following year the Roadrunners won the Great Northwest Conference championship and advanced to their first NCAA Tournament with a record of 28-4.
In 1990-91, Metro State won its first of two consecutive CAC championships with a 23-8 record and again reached the NCAA Tournament. The Roadrunners went 17-11 overall in 1991-92 and were 10-2 in the CAC.
