WTAMU Notes

Notes:
•    Metro State was picked second in the RMAC preseason coaches' poll behind Colorado Mines.

•    Abby Rolph (Golden, Colo./Golden H.S.) was named RMAC preseason player of the year and joined Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) and Brandi Farley (Colorado Springs/Pine Creek H.S.) on the preseason all-RMAC team.

•    Metro State's 12 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances is the longest active streak in NCAA Division II.

•    Rolph was named third team All-America by both Daktronics and NSCAA last season and returns for her senior campaign.

•    Rolph also earned NSCAA second team Scholar All-America, becoming the second player in school history to earn the award (Kari Pierce, 1999).

•    Rolph has a 3.71 GPA in sport industry operations.

•    Rolph scored her first career overtime goal to beat Midwestern State in the first round of the NCAA tournament last year (Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) has two OT goals in her career, the only other Roadrunner with an OT goal).

•    Rolph broke the school record for consecutive games with an assist with five straight games (Sept. 27 to Oct. 13).

•    Metro State went 1-2-3 vs. ranked opponents last season.

•    Metro State went 11-1-4 last season when Jade Ryals (Monument, Colo./Lewis-Palmer H.S.) was in the starting lineup (she missed several games with an injury late in the season).

•    This season's 11-0-3 record through 14 games in 2013 was the best start since 2005 (started 23-0-0 before a season-ending tie in NCAA quarterfinals).

•    Metro State allowed just one goal through the first five games last season, the fewest goals allowed over that span since allowing zero goals through five games in 2005 (did not allow a goal until sixth game in 2005).

•    Metro State snapped a four-game winless streak on artificial turf with a 2-0 win at West Texas A&M on Sept. 5 last season.

•    The Roadrunners went 6-2-3 on artificial turf last season.
