BOULDER, Colo. - Metropolitan State University of Denver had several top-five finishes on Saturday at the Potts Invitational in Boulder, Colorado.
Jamilah Tanae Rashid (Denver/Lincoln H.S.) and
Evonna Ramirez (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley H.S.) highlighted the women's side of the race with personal-bests. Tanae Rashid was second in the 800 meters in 2:25.20 and Ramirez was fourth in the mile in 5:31.81.
Sarah Johns (Denver, Colo./Dakota Ridge H.S.) placed second in the 400 meters in 1:02.78, missing a personal best by less than half a second.
For the men,
Jon Clarke (Paterson, N.J./East Stroudsburg H.S.) was fourth in the 60 meters in 6.99 seconds.
Christian Culpepper (Fort Worth, Texas/North Crowley H.S.) was eighth in the mile in 4:43.46 in his first collegiate track meet.
MSU Denver will be back in action on Friday at the Mines Twilight Open in Golden, Colorado.
