ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Breanna Hemming (Kiowa, Colo./Ponderosa H.S.) ran a provisional NCAA qualifying time in the women's 800 meters on Saturday to highlight the day for Metropolitan State University of Denver at the Don Kirby Tailwind Classic in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Hemming finished sixth in 2:13.41 seconds, converting 2:12.62 for altitude.

Victoria Alcala (Salinas, Calif./Everett Alvarez H.S.) finished 11th in the 1500 meters in 4:52.76 and
Jamilah Tanae Rashid (Denver/Lincoln H.S.) was 14th in 4:54.21.
Morgan Myers (Thornton, Colo./Horizon H.S.) was 10th in the 400, followed by
Sarah Johns (Denver, Colo./Dakota Ridge H.S.), who was 11th.

Kari Sanchez (Downey, Calif./Warren H.S.) placed fourth and
Evonna Ramirez (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley H.S.) was fifth.

For the men,
Jon Clarke (Paterson, N.J./East Stroudsburg H.S.) had a strong day in the sprints. He finished sixth in the 100 meters in 10.63 seconds, missing a provisional qualifying time by .05 seconds. He was also sixth in the 200 meters in 21.49 seconds, missing a provisional by .08 seconds.

Michael Warburton (Parker, Colo./Ponderosa H.S.) missed a provisional time by less than a second in the 800 meters, finishing second out of 26 runners in 1:53.26.
Ryan Boucher (Longmont, Colo./Lyons H.S.) was 11th.

Brandon Krage (Conifer, Colo./Conifer H.S.) finished fifth in the 1500 meters, as did
Jason Carey (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral H.S.) in the 3k.
