PUEBLO, Colo. - Seven individuals and two relay teams scored points for Metropolitan State University of Denver on the final day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference outdoor track championships at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado. The men's team finished ninth and the women placed 10th.
The top eight finishers in each event score team points.
Breanna Hemming (Kiowa, Colo./Ponderosa H.S.) was the top finisher, placing second in the women's 1,500 meters in 4:41.17.
Sarah Hughes (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield H.S.) had a seventh-place finish in the triple jump at 11.10 meters. The women's 4x400 relay team of
Morgan Myers (Thornton, Colo./Horizon H.S.),
Sarah Johns (Denver, Colo./Dakota Ridge H.S.),
Amber Sborov (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek H.S.) and Hemming was eighth.
For the men,
Jon Clarke (Paterson, N.J./East Stroudsburg H.S.) finished third in the 200 meters in 21.54 seconds and fourth in the 100 meters in 10.64 seconds.
Julian Dulaney (Louisville, Colo./Monarch H.S.) was eighth in the 100.
The 4x100 relay team of Clarke,
Robert Carlson (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield H.S.),
Alejandro Montoya (Loveland, Colo./Mountain View H.S.) and Dulaney was third in a school-record 41.48 seconds. It is the third consecutive meet they have broken the school record.
Carlson also finished fifth in the triple jump at 14.30 meters, missing the school record by .05 meters.
Michael Warburton (Parker, Colo./Ponderosa H.S.) was seventh in the 1500m.
