LUBBOCK, Texas – The MSU Denver women's basketball team is ranked seventh in the D2SIDA South Central Regional poll.

The regional poll is based on teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic and Lone Star Conferences and is voted on by a panel of sports information directors from those leagues. It isn't connected to the official NCAA regional rankings that begin near the end of the season and are ultimately used to determine at-large qualifiers to the NCAA Tournament.
 
MSU Denver completed the non-conference portion of its schedule at 4-1, losing only in triple overtime. At 4-1, the Roadrunners have matched their best start to a season since 2011-12.
 
The Roadrunners, picked to finish third in the RMAC, open league play at home Saturday against Westminster at 1:30 p.m., and then play host to Colorado Mesa on Sunday at 1 p.m.
