COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Maya Ries finished second in the women's 60 hurdles to lead MSU Denver on Saturday at the UCCS Pre-Holiday Invitational & Multi.
Ries' time of 8.90 seconds is the school record holder's seventh-best time of her career.

Isaiah Williams had a standout debut in the men's high jump, placing sixth with an effort of 1.88 meters (6 feet, 2 inches). That made him the program's third-best individual indoors all-time, and his performance ranks as the ninth-best ever at MSU Denver.
The Roadrunners had three in the finals of the men's 60 hurdles, with
Anthony Martinez finishing fourth in 8.49,
Sean Pecenka sixth in a personal-best 8.76, and
Aden Guenther seventh in 8.93.
In the shot put,
Grace Solarin was fifth and
Lushous Davis was seventh in the women's event. Solarin, the school record-holder, had her fourth-best mark of 11.98 (39-2), while Davis became the program's second-best individual in the event as the transfer had an effort of 11.07 (36-3 ¾).
In the men's shot,
Brandon Simpson was seventh at 13.40 (43-11 ½). The school record-holder's effort was his fourth-best ever.
