COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Riley Anderson has been named the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Year as voted on by the league's 15 head coaches.
Anderson helped to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-2 overall record and a perfect 14-0 record in conference play this season. She has 319, 154 digs, and 60 blocks on the season.
In addition to Anderson, three other Roadrunners were named to the All-RMAC First Team including
Delaney Eckhardt,
Annika Helf, and
Maddy Williams. Eckhardt led the Roadrunners in both assists (580) and service aces (35) this season. Helf was second on the team in kills behind Anderson with 264. She also is second on the team in digs with 177 and service aces with 34. Williams has tallied 197 kills this season to place her third on the team.
Alyssa Boyte and
Kryssa Moerman were both named to the All-RMAC Second Team. Boyte led the team in total blocks as a freshman with 129 including 11 solo blocks and assisting on 118 blocks. Moerman is second on the team in blocks with 109. Among the Roadrunners who played in every match this season, Moerman led the team with a hitting percentage of .399 and Boyte is second on the team with .349.
Two other Roadrunners were named All-RMAC Honorable Mention.
Abbie McCrimmon leads the team in digs with 350 and
Amela Qershia is second on the team in assists with 383.
MSU Denver will host the semifinals and finals of the RMAC Tournament. The Roadrunners will face Regis on Friday at 5 p.m. with the winner advancing to the championship match on Saturday at 4 p.m.
